This morning I went to see Mrs D, who loves very much her GoodGym social visits. She told me how delighted she was that her granddaughter and great grandson came to see her earlier this week. There were presents and a lot of chatting and much joy, as she had not seen them for a while. Mrs D being Mrs D, she had to tell me a funny story, otherwise it just wouldn't be the same... 😄 She recalled the time when she was working and went to the Union meeting, where, when her turn came, she said what she had planned to say, and her boss was very appreciative of that. Her colleague was too petrified to speak out... Then, a few days later, she went to the doctor and had her blood pressure measured. The numbers were so high that the doctor thought the instrument was broken, so he got another one out. The readings were just as bad. He got yet another one, same result. After about five different instruments and the same results, and once Mrs D told him about her Union meeting, his conclusion was that Union meetings were bad for you!! She had to stay far away from them from there on! 😆
