There were many things working against us today - wind, rain and a rugby world cup loss but none of that can stop Goodgym on a mission.

We arrived at a very nice scene of allotments against a backdrop of Wimbledon common, we even got a break in the rain so no excuses not to get stuck in. We met several people involved with managing the allotments and found out that we needed to clear and turn over an abandoned lot, we grabbed our tools and moved off to get stuck in.

First thing that needed doing was cutting down all of the grass and weeds that had the whole summer head start on us, once that was cleared and bagged up we got to work turning over the soil; it's always amazing seeing what a few people can achieve in a short amount of time.

Finishing just before the rain started again we hiked all of the grass and tools out, it was very much appreciated by everyone there.

We split up and ran back through some great trails back to Putney. A good job done by all!
