It’s always quite satisfying completing a mission after finishing parkrun. The weather was good to us this morning and it was nice to cycle to and meet up with my fellow GoodGym comrade to start our task.

Mrs M’s husband is due to come out of hospital and we needed to make way for his hospital bed. Mrs M was so welcoming and really lovey to chat away with. We assessed and sized up the sofa and thought we did what we thought best but it really wasn’t working.

Like a scene out of friends it was a case of pivot, pivot pivot. After trying a few different angles we admitted defeat and it was time to phone a friend.

So a FaceTime call later, a shuffle here and there and voila the sofa was out. It turns out Mrs M was older and much wiser than the 2 of us put together as she’d suggested that’s how to get it out in the first place.

We left with talks of upcoming nuptials and how best to fill the rest of the day. A cider in the garden sounded perfect.
