Welcome Huge welcome to first time GoodGym runner Karl. We hope you had a great experience of your first GoodGym group run and hope you'll be back for more soon (with your new lovely red T-shirt of course!).

Kudos Massive Kudos to Phil who completed the Cannock Chase half marathon at the weekend. A huge achievement (and a muddy affair!) Well done Phil!

Spook-tacula Night There was a theme running through the evening tonight..... we'll give you one guess!!!

We started our night with a slightly crazy but fun warm up.... Michael Jackson's 'Thriller' was booming out of the speaker as we did various moves (including the famous Thriller ones of course!) to get our heart rate up before setting out for this week's task. It was great to see runners with their Halloween boppers on and getting into the spirit of the night.

We arrived at Jubilee House and started to undertake a number of tasks. We spent the evening outside cleaning windows, sweeping leaves and picking litter from around the building. With no shortage of elbow grease (and a little Halloween themed music for the added fun factor), we made a big impact in a short amount of time (there may even have been time for a few cheeky antics and videos!). The Wishing Well Project based out of Jubilee House play a huge part within our local community, providing a range of services to families, children, youth and the elderly. It's a privilege to be able to contribute in a very small way.

When we'd finished our task, we took a slightly shorter route back to base, stopping off along the way for our Halloween fitness session. With more Halloween themed music to exercise to, we did Frankenstein Walks, Boo-ty Burners, Mummy Kicks and Skeleton Squats. Everyone took part enthusiastically with a fair few giggles (and videso!) along the way.

After our cool down, we headed over to Hops Belgian Bar for our first GoodGym social. It was nice to spend some time chatting over a drink with lovely people. I'll definitely look forward to more of those in the future.

Next Week Next week's task will be confirmed shortly but we hope to be helping with operation clean-up at the old Flag Lane Swimming Baths. Watch the website for more details.

Dates to Remember GoodGym Takeover - Saturday 9th November - please sign up on the website if you'd like to take part, so that I can add you to the roster.

Have a 'fiendishly' fabulous week and hope to see you all next Wednesday.

Happy running!

Loads of love,

Nicola xxx
