The mission: weed, prune and tidy a back garden in need of a little TLC.

Three runners from Hounslow set out on an unusually bitter April morning to help a couple in Fulham who haven’t been well enough to get out into the garden. We arrived to find a bijou little area of mainly mossy ground with a handful of plant tubs and overgrown bushes to tend to. Along with a trail of little presents left by the local cats! We got to work with the small gardening tools we were provided with and quickly filled two bags. Once we were done we set out on our second mission of the morning. Our aim, to honour the memory of a fellow runner and run 3.7 miles along the Thames path to #finishformatt Mission accomplished we stopped to raise a flat white or two in Matt’s name and thaw out!
