It was a sparse Goodgym community mission at Stephens House and Gardens. With numerous sporting events happening over the weekend it was down to myself to represent good gym at their monthly volunteer gardening session. With one other regular Stephens house volunteer our task was to work on the rockery. My job was removing brambles, a very prickly task even with thick gloves . Once the giant brambles had been tackled I then moved on to weeding the upper section of the rockery. Having not long ago helped to dig over the same section of rockery, I was amazed to see just how big the weeds had grown since then.

Another enjoyable morning spent helping maintain a beautiful public space and the rockery is looking amazing in colour.
