After a lovely sunny run to the beautiful Maida Vale canal, I stopped by Mr C's flat to pick up a letter he needed posting with recorded delivery. Off I trotted to the PO office only to find a very slow queue, but listening to a podcast in the sun while I waited it was a pretty nice delay! When I went back to Mr C's house to give him the receipts and change we had a fascinating conversation (from a distance) about his career as a mountain climber. Turned out he'd been to the Andes, Alps, Everest, Nepal, Bolivia and Columbia. He told me about technique, pace and breathing -all helpful tips for running! I could have spent all day chatting to him, and it reminded me of another of the perks of mission runs. Thanks Mr C!
