A sunny morning awaited us at Cowslip Meadow wetland and Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI), the location of our task for the day.

At some point a row of large blackthorn trees had blown over and started growing over a boggy area that should be home to the species that make this site special.

We got started off taking out some bramble that had grown over the hedge line and then proceeded to trim the trees, and reclaim the boggy area.

The trees should re-sprout in a more upright manner and the wet ground has plenty of light for watery plant species to grow in!
