The Express Weddings Album

Today I visited Mrs D in Windsor. I was very pleased to see that she was looking much better since my previous visit; she's been recovering nicely after the fall and was walking using only her walking stick. She showed me a couple of pages from a mid 1980s newspaper. It was the Express Weddings Album section. Here were listed all the couples that wedded recently, each couple with a photo and all the details you may want to know: name of the bride and groom, their occupation, names of their parents and where they lived, name of their best man and their bridesmaids. Also what the bride and bridesmaids were wearing, the colour of the bouquet, the church they married in and where the reception took place!... Oh my goodness, I don't think today one would get away with publishing so much information... general data protection regulations (GDPR) and all that. And amongst them, there was her son's wedding photo and details. So lovely to see all that, they are Mrs D's precious memories!
