Today I've been to see Mrs. D, a morning visit for a change. She's just as charming and delightful in the mornings as she is in the afternoons, I must say. She's told me yet another story over her breakfast and a cup of tea. This is from the WW2, when she was a young girl. She remembers when German planes were flying over going towards London. They used to hide under the bed, but not all of them could fit under there. Her older brother used to frighten her even more, by saying that they will parachute people down of those planes... Once, they dropped a bomb nearby. The earth shook wildly, just like when an earthquake. The chickens 🐔 were terribly frightened and she thought that they would never lay eggs ever again... That proved to be wrong, as they dropped eggs even faster after that!! She finds humour even in the saddest stories!... Thank you Mrs. D!
