Louise and I lent a hand to East End Women, packing up food bags for their volunteer delivery drivers to distribute within the Walker area. I got horrendously lost, but arrived to find Louise and Ben (our adopted GoodGymer for the day) ready and raring to go.

To say we were a well oiled machine is being generous to well oiled machines. We raced through the tasks we’d been given, packing toiletry bags and 40 ambient food parcels ready for delivery.

I should mention the bagels. There were literally thousands of bagels donated by a local school, who haven’t been able to run their breakfast club due to the COVID-19 lockdown. Safe to say, there are a lot of people eating bagels in Walker this week.

The organisers were very pleased with our efforts, and are looking forward to having us back soon!
