When I visited Mrs J today, it was very hot and humid, and she was feeling a bit wobbly. We both made sure we drank lots of water. When I arrived, I went to sit down in my usual chair and almost squashed the cat, who escaped just in time! The white cat was well-camouflaged on the cream-coloured chair! Luckily he didn't seem to have come to any harm, and we were still friends Mrs J was very interested to hear that I had just come from marshalling at the Thames Hospice Sunflower Walk, as her late husband had spent his last days at the hospice. So we spent a bit of time talking about him - she still misses him so much. Someone from the mental health team was going to take her out for a coffee the next day, so hopefully that will be good for her to start going out and about again

Well done for going on to a social visit after your busy day of marshalling! You’re a marvel and I’m sure you made a big difference for Mrs J πŸ‘
