Mission

Summer in the Settee

2 GoodGymers made their way to help an isolated older person in Southwark.

Matt and I met Sam the social worker this afternoon to move a sofa bed for Mr R so he could be discharged from hospital.

Our first task was to move the piles of papers and letters from the bed, then remove the mattress and take it downstairs. The more difficult task was maneuvering the sofa bed through the narrow doorway and hall, and out of the front door. It was touch and go for a while, but we eventually managed to get it out with no collateral damage!

Next the social worker will organise for the flat to be cleaned, then Mr R can come home.
