On a beautiful sunny Wednesday afternoon I escaped my work basement and had a short walk (and lovely blast of vitamin D!) over to Mrs M. She buzzed me in and I headed up to her flat where she was waiting at her front door with her shopping list, cash and my personal favourite item, her practical and stylish trolley!

I had a brief chat with Mrs M about how she was and her upcoming operation. She apologised to me that the list was longer than usual, as she is having to shield before her operation she was starting to stock up on food to get her through! Before I set off to the shop I went through her shopping list with her ๐Ÿ“, I shared her love of brioche rolls and double-checked there wasn't anything else she needed..."ah, the spreadable cheese in a tub, Dairylea, not the wrapped triangles, but only if you remember" said Mrs M.

Armed with everything I needed I headed to the local Tesco. Like last week, Mrs M's shopping list was full of fruit and veg! I whizzed around the fruit and veg aisles mentally ticking off the items from Mrs M's list. Unfortunately there were no 'unripe' bananas in stock, thanks a bunch, Tesco! ๐ŸŒ. There was also a pitta of a problem ...there were no wholemeal pittas in stock ๐Ÿ˜ฑ, a staple of Mrs M, and no chicken noodles. I collected all the other items on Mrs M's list while thinking 'Dairylea' every few seconds...as it turned out, there was only Dairylea triangles. Cheesus!

Not to be defeated, I paid and packed all the items I had found on the shelf and headed over to the Sainsbury's a couple of streets away. The wholemeal pittas and Dairylea spread were both found much to my delight, but still no chicken noodles or bananas...ripe out of stock! As it was last week, the Co-op was my final hope. I went bananas when I saw the nice green bananas sat on the shelf, I grabbed, paid for and packed them and made my way back to Mrs M.

Aside from the chicken noodles, Mrs M's trolley was fully stocked the brim with everything on her list and she was incredibly grateful when I delivered it all to her. I lifted her trolley inside for her and she thanked me again. After one last chat we said our goodbyes for another week.
