We had a great start to our Sunday morning with a lovely Community Mission successfully completed!
We helped Jesmond Library by delivering their Spring Newsletter locally. This Community Mission was set up by myself (Charlotte) and completed with the brilliant teamwork of Louise, Emily, Andrew, Aimee, Cathy and Harry.
Jesmond Library is run entirely by volunteers and were very appreciative of extra help that we could offer.
Everyone met up at Ilford Road Metro Station, paired up and worked like clockwork going up and down the streets that needed delivering to.
300 Newsletters delivered in just 25 MINUTES!! Absolutely amazing!
(More Newsletters will be collected and another Mission set up to complete the delivery to a couple of more streets)

Jesmond Library Jesmond Library is a community library, one of over 500 such libraries in the country. It is housed in a unique grade 2 listed building and is home to a wide range of books which is regularly updated.
As well as being a lending library, Jesmond Library offers a welcoming space for those who want to sit and read newspapers, to relax with a coffee, and to browse the information corner and community noticeboards. Workstations and desks are available with access to computers, printing and photocopying. The volunteers run a varied range of sessions including conversation groups in French, German, Italian and Spanish; English language classes; a book group; poetry sharing and playreading groups; Current Affairs discussions; Craft’n’Chat. The popular children’s corner is always buzzing with activity, with books and games, regular Story and Rhyme Time sessions and craft sessions during the school holidays.
