This morning I went on a mission to help Mrs R with something she's been quite worried about.

There were two problems before 8am today. Mrs R's smoke alarms needed batteries putting in and then being put on the ceiling. For me, I was in need of fresh air and a bit of exercise following an online Christmas party last night.

Both problems were resolved really quickly - I cycled over to Mrs R's, and within 15 minutes had the alarms installed and tested and had a brief chat with her. She has some other concerns about things, but this was apparently the most pressing.

I cycled back to my wfh desk, refreshed and feeling warm and fuzzy inside. And Mrs R will feel reassured not just that she's safer, but that there are people out there willing to help.

Mission accomplished.
