Craig and Lucy collected 17kg of food from the local supermarkets for the community fridge at central library. The food is within the best before date but would have been binned by the supermarket. There were lots of cookies to share this week - now that's definitely a smart way to stop food waste!

Exeter Community Fridge
We rescue surplus food from supermarkets across the city and give it away to all via a publicly accessible fridge in Exeter Library in order to reduce food waste.

As above. We need volunteers to pick up surplus food from designated businesses and drop it off at the Community Fridge. Quantities of food can vary but we will aim to match individual volunteers to particular pick-ups. Pick-ups are usually in the morning and the fridge is open during library opening hours. We are primarily a sustainability initiative.
