Southwark

Mission

Slats goodbye from me. And slats goodbye from her. Goodbye.

2 GoodGymers made their way to help an isolated older person in Southwark.

On a glorious Autumn day, we were welcomed at Ms D's lovely flat by her daughter, a set of tools and a bed frame ready to be dismantled to be replaced by a fit-for-purpose hospital bed to allow Ms D to come home.

Clearly a two person job, we set about dismantling the frame quickly and efficiently and soon enough had a neat pile of slats and pieces of frame, ready to go into the cupboard to be re-homed by a grandchild at a later date.

It seemed no sooner than we had started, that we were saying farewell and Ms D's daughter was ready to let the hospital know that the flat was ready for a shiny new bed, and most importantly, Ms D!
