Mission

Shed no tears

2 GoodGymers made their way to help an isolated older person in Sheffield.

Ms P's garden has got in a sorry state. Intimidation from neighbours has given her agoraphobia, so that she is afraid to be in the garden alone. This, coupled with arthritis, have led to things getting quite overgrown. Despite all this, Ms P was cheery and enthusiastic, trying to help us out.

Several years ago, she obtained a shed (in pieces). Although she had every intention of putting it up, it's sat getting damp and damaged under plastic covers for a long time. Today's job was to shift the heavy fence panels across the garden to an area where they can be repaired and prepped for assembly.

This also importantly cleared a space for scaffolding to be put up to repair a broken gutter.
