I had a lovely time helping MxJ with their beautiful courtyard garden in the leafy suburbs of Crystal Palace. Three heaves of a shovel in the sodden clay-heavy earth made quick work of swapping a sedum with a salvia plant. We shared a few laughs and chatted afterwards to work out what bulbs might bring joy and burst of colour over the winter and early spring months.
