On a (very!) wet and windy autumnal morning, two runners from Hounslow set off to tackle Mrs M’s garden while the rest of the country settled down to watch England try to bring home the Rugby World Cup.

After a quick team talk from Mrs M, Andy and Michelle took advantage of the wide selection of gardening tools on offer to kick off their mission to convert Mrs M’s back garden into a green and pleasant land once again.

After a strong first phase raking and clearing the lawn, Mrs M called an interval, and we fended off a big downpour. Two lovely hot cups of tea later we were back at it.

As the final whistle blew, we passed all the cuttings and leaves into two very stuffed bags, said our goodbyes to Mrs M, and checked the latest rugby score. Oh well, there's always next year!
