Mr P has a large garden, and he is now unable to tend it himself, so it has got rather out of control. Sara and Sheila answered the call to go and help tidy it up for him. It was obvious as soon as we arrived that we had quite a job on our hands! Sara tackled the privet hedge giving it a good trim, and once we had both pulled all of the ivy out from the bottom of the hedge, which had crept quite a distance over the pavement, it all looked really neat and tidy. Hopefully this will make him less of a target for scammers. Sheila concentrated on controlling some of the brambles, clearing the path to the back door so that he can access this again, and also the brambles invading the front lawn. At the end of the session we had a very full green wheelie bin. There is a huge amount still to be done, and hopefully further sessions can be listed. Mr P was very appreciative of our efforts, which makes it all worthwhile.
