What a fulfilling way to start the weekend with a mission helping an older person. On a Friday evening after work me and Nick moved a bed up a flight of stairs to clear the space for a hospital bed so Mrs M could be safely discharged from hospital.

Her husband was on hand to show us what needed moving and where to. The bed was fairly light and it didn’t take us long. The trickiest part was manoeuvring the bed around the corner and avoiding the ceiling going up the stairs. Once done we had a nice chat about the area, food and his previous work abroad. He was very grateful for the help.

We wished him all the best for Mrs M’s homecoming early next week and set off to enjoying our weekends - good deed completed.
