1 GoodGymer made their way to help the Kingston Council in Kingston upon Thames.
- Sunday, 10th of September 2023
- Led by Rob Haworth
Me myself and I, were the sole representatives of GoodGym at the 2nd edition of the Kingston Fun Cycle ride - aimed at showing off the fantastic cycle routes the Kingston has to offer to those that wish to use them. Sir Ed Davey, Lib Dem leader and local MP came to see us off and to thanks us volunteers.
This time we started at the Kingston Road Recreation ground, an area Kingston GG have helped to transform into the thriving hub it is now. We then cycled down through 'The Cut' and up to Raynes Park on the 'Bee Way' - another Goodgym project! Looping around back under the A3, and through to Coombe then the Triangle and back to KRRG - everyone arrived back hot sweaty and thirsty but enlightened at the different cycle paths and networks available to them.
Watch this space for another event in October and more marshal and volunteering opportunities.
