Myself and Michael were back at East End Women today helping out at their food bank, with the need for food parcels rising since lockdown.

We started by packing 15 bags of toiletries before the delivery drivers arrived to distribute the food parcels. We helped them in delivering well over 100 bags of fresh fruit and veg, as well as ambient bags including cereal, pasta, tinned fruit and veg, juice, hot chocolate, coffee and bagels.

After the first four delivery drivers had arrived to deliver the food parcels, we had an hour until the final driver arrived, so we managed to pack a further 44 bags of ambient food to be delivered next week.

I know I speak for Michael in saying that we really enjoyed the work we were able to do today, and we were undoubtedly able to do a lot with just the two pairs of hands! I would highly recommend getting involved with East End Women if you get the chance!
