A solo stint at the Hounslow Jamia Masjid, returning after a 4 month (lockdown) hiatus, to continue with the ongoing project to create a paradise garden around the Mosque and at the sides of the car park at the rear.

So many plants still waiting to be planted but today’s tasks were all about post-lockdown remedial work. Mainly litter picking, rubbish removal, tidying, weeding and removing stones from the soil.

As I gardened, it was fascinating to see the huge ebb and flow of cars and the crocodiles of school-children, bringing worshippers for Ramadan prayers.
