A couple of very dark and wicked downpours in the hour prior to our meet up put off all but the hardiest of Goodgymers tonight.

However our small, but perfectly formed, group were rewarded with a completely dry run (out and back) and enabling us to observe the preparations for the Christmas lights on the Cornhill - the tree will certainly be impressive!

We congratulated the exploits of all those that ran the Hadleigh 5 mile and 10 mile races yesterday in wonderful bright sunshine - the complete opposite of this afternoon!

This was our second week in a row visiting Castle Hill Community Centre to take on a painting task and, with our smaller group, this week we extra dust sheets, paint brushes and rollers. As a result, splitting into an upstairs and downstairs group, we managed to work really quickly and complete painting the hall way walls. The smaller group actually worked better than the larger numbers of last week due to having more space to work in as well as enough painting equipment for everyone.

With our job done and another visit booked for just prior to Christmas we headed back for our return run clocking up over 5 miles for the night.
