Here's what Mr A of NR4 had to say about the mission:

The volunteers were brilliant, really lovely and friendly girls. My front garden hasn't got a weed sight, they worked very hard and it was so hot. I am so grateful for the help. I can't put it in words how much this has helped and can't thank you enough.

Mr A of NR4, mission beneficiary

It was a sweltering day so we moved our mission to the afternoon at a more sensible time. This, however, seemed to coincide with the sun coming out so, in hindsight, was probably not the best idea. After our rather warm 4 mile run, we asked for a pint of water before we got down to the task of weeding the beautiful flower beds. We also met a fellow GoodGymmer who was there on her coach run! About half way through our hour of weeding, Mrs N came out with two cream sodas in her hands which were delicious and totally appreciated. We also tackled some weeds which were unfortunately home to ants who didn’t appreciate our effort. This led to several little bites and itches! We left the already-tidy garden, weed-free with two very happy customers. After we had run a few steps up the road, Michelle realised she was wearing the wrong socks and had developed blisters on her foot so we will admit to getting a lift home!
