Not getting bitter about the litter

1 GoodGymer made their way to help their local community in Islington.

Yesterday was the hottest day of 2020 so far and Caledonian Park was alive with people enjoying the long warm evening. Unfortunately this meant that there was a lot of rubbish left on the park grass today, including gloves and face masks, making the park less pleasant and less safe for the local community to enjoy. Resisiting my instinct to get annoyed about it I spent 45 minutes this afternoon clearing litter from the grass and disposing of it appropriately. I felt like it made a small but significant difference to helping take care of the park I've enjoyed using so much during lockdown!
