So what is the best method of cleaning windows? Is it vinegar? lemon juice? Is it the method of drying the windows with rags? Newspaper? Kitchen towel? Alas I feel that these mysteries will never be answered within my lifetime. What I do know is that I have never cleaned windows at night time or run with a bucket snd washing up liquid and I have never had so much fun rubbing a pane of glass as I did tonight with the wonderful GG Richmond team.

It is with a deep sense of pride, to know that as I type I have made part of Richmond sparkle. GoodGym team were dynamic and focused about the task tonight and with great enthusiasm and team work we set about helping the great SPEAR guys have a clearer view tomorrow morning. SPEAR do so much wonderful work for the homeless in our communities that it is an honour to be able to help them in whatever capacity we can. To find out more please visit there website http://www.spearlondon.org/.

One of the biggest requests that we were asked to take care of this evening was to remove the cobwebs from the windows, as most people know where there is cobwebs one is likely to find spiders. So even though our team was compact this evening (due to sheet rain falling, tube strikes and illnesses) it was not without the sense of drama and chaos that we are now so accustomed to; so this was in the order of shrieks about huge spiders, which as you can see from the photo, it is clearly not a tarantula. As well as this, runners were missing from time to time, there was talk of needing more water so they would disappear into the pizza hut and even though I requested extra anchovies on mine I don't recall seeing one slice.

Guys, awesome work tonight, hope you have managed to thaw out!

SPEAR have already contacted me saying how grateful they are and how much they are looking forward to "the sunshine flooding through the windows tomorrow." They have already tweeted about your good work https://twitter.com/SPEARLondon/status/818581281772544000

For those of you who probably feel a little bit disappointed that you couldn't make tonight, you might be pleased to know that there is a chance to get your GoodGym fix on a starter run this coming Saturday. Check the website for more details. If you can't make that afternoon and still wish to support GoodGym head to Richmond Park Run Saturday morning, where Ivo (the Founder of GG) will be sharing our good news. Throw on your red top and join in.

Statistically today is supposed to be the most depressing day of the year...I feel great!

Happy Running
