Rain, rain go away.... why are you always here on a Monday?

Coach Ellie sat, waiting patiently as the clouds threw down another wave..... Will this downpour ever cease?

Rain bouncing off the tarmac outside Willesden Sports Centre left little, if any hope of being joined by a full troop of GoodGymers on this cold October eve.

But just as a solo mission was seriously being contemplated...... in they came, one after the other - Red T-Shirts beamed out of the grey!! Hurrah

An extraordinary eight Brent heroes came out in force, to tackle the elements and join the Willesden Town Team for one final clear of litter and debris at the Abandoned Police Station on the High Road.

Before the set off coach Ellie announced a milestone in her GoodGym career - Today is my 50th Good Deed HURRAHHHHHHH With hearty applause - Lets make it a Nifty Fifty and give her the birthday bumps later for Good(Gym) measure.

To light their way through the darkened night Ellie's Pink celebratory Lippy led the charge and before long the crew arrived outside the station with the fabulous Abraham to lead the way!!

Although we'd loovveeeee to take all credits, a renegade "Do Gooding" gang had joined our plight at the weekend and halved the work we had for the evening! So coupled with our previous 2 weeks of GoodGyming, there was only one last blast to achieve the complete and total clean-up of the Police Station task.

It really was like a new place and for our efforts and a first complete for GG Brent! We even had 2 stops on the street by potential new participants asking where they could sign up to join us!!!! Well if you can't (Bobby on the) Beat - us, join us!!!

After the task and the usual photocall, the team were off down to Gladstone Park for pacing and speed drills and a lot of puddle jumping too!! a massive shout out to Hannah Rigg for a sterling performance, despite having heavy legs after a weekend of bournemouth racing!! Tunnel runs and leafy near slips, one last push up the hill on St Peter's Av and we were back at Base camp, another ending to another Monday in Brent!!!

A fantastic show despite the weather and a great celebration for the Coaches' milestone moment.

Until next time GG Brent.

DO GOOD. FEEL GOOD. INSPIRE
