3 North London Goodgymmers from different boroughs heeded a last minute community mission call out, and met up at Highbury Quadrant Estate this morning. Octopus Community Networks have been really busy with renovating this gorgeous set of permaculture and wild flower gardens hidden behind an Islington housing estate, and it has been wonderful to see the progress that our Goodgym sessions have made to the space.

Frannie, the volunteer coordinator for the project, was left with 80 large bags of organic compost to move from a vehicular access point, over to the woodland meadow about 400m away. This would have been a huge job for just one person, however Ernestas, Juan and Simon were fully on board with picking up wheel barrows and hand carts, and performing some tightly manoeuvred turns to drop the bags to their intended location. A smashing effort considering that most of us had not even had breakfast yet- we certainly earned a top brunch after a solid workout. Well done folks!
