My final mission of the day was a short run up from my second mission to Mrs L. I had phoned Mrs L the day before to ensure I had all the directions to her flat...to my surprise (and glee!) it was a lot easier to find that I had anticipated! I rung her flat bell at bang on 5pm, and she buzzed me in to the building. I decided to walk up the stunning spiral staircase rather than take the lift and eventually arrived at the top and at Mrs L's flat.

Mrs L greeted me inside and lead me into the kitchen where she invited me to take a seat. A couple of months ago, poor Mrs L fell outside her flat building and suffered a severe head injury, consequently she isn't as mobile as she was and suffers from memory problems, which I could tell from my brief phone call with her very frustrating for her.

I took a seat in her kitchen as instructed and Mrs L kindly offered me a cup of tea, I politely declined but gratefully accepted the kind offer of a bottle of water. Mrs L is a big tea drinker so she was surprised to learn I was not a fan! Mrs L was keen for a brew so I filled up and boiled her kettle for her ☕.

We both sat and chatted for what felt like hours with our drinks about our shared love of travelling, her journalism and books, my job, and of course COVID. It turned out I had been the one who had invited Mrs L for her vaccines back in the New Year and had probably passed each other at the Vaccination Hub...small world!

Despite the chat being lovely, there was a task at hand to help get Mrs L some online shopping! We moved to her study to where her computer was and began tackling the Tesco online shopping website. I started by bookmarking the website page and showed her how to access it from the toolbar, first step completed. She had already managed to make an account so we skipped passed the account making step straight to the shopping! I helped Mrs L to find all her 'household' items on the website, book a delivery slot and pay for all her shopping - we worked together like a well oiled machine! Once the delivery slot was booked I passed Mrs L her diary so she could note down all the details she needed.

We had one final brief chat before we said our goodbyes. I headed back down the spiral staircase and back off to finish my work before the big football game!
