Mrs G has dementia and her daughter Y, who has been supporting her, was really keen that she could get back out in the garden again after it had become a bit overgrown. Mrs G had been quite a keen gardener back in the day, so Y knew that she would enjoy some more colour to look at, either sitting outside or on days when she wasn't well enough, to still be able to enjoy the view through the window.

After tackling the lawn with the mower and making a start on the ivy growing along the garden wall, Y came to join me with the clearing efforts. Several bags of garden waste later and Y was very happy with what we'd done as it would allow space for some pots and new planting in the borders for her mum to enjoy.
