Mop it like it's hot

2 GoodGymers made their way to help an isolated older person in Wandsworth.

This afternoon two GoodGymmers braved the rain to do the gardening at Mrs P's.

Sharon met me just outside Mrs P's and we went right in. She explained that two GGers had cleared most of the weeds and the next part would be to get to work on the roots. We got stuck right in: some of the roots were huge and very deep so required the garden fork and some hard work.

Fortunately the worst of the rain held off for the first half an hour before the heavens opened. We stuck to our task though and got rid of all the roots.

After that, we cleared all the sacks of garden waste from the garden and took them through to the front of the house so the council could collect. We were so muddy and wet by this point we needed to create a system where one person passed bags from the back, the other (with shoes off) then carried through the house with Mrs P following behind with a mop. Quite the sight I'm sure.

Mrs P thanked us for our time and we set off to the nearby shopping centre to clean up and warm up!
