Utterly soaked (for the second time today) cycling to Mrs B’s to collect Molly for an afternoon dog walk. The mission looked even more impossible when Molly slipped her harness and refused to leave Mrs B’s house. With much cajoling and an embarrassing amount of carrying, I finally got Molly away. A ‘drowned’ lamp-post on the main road outside Marble Hill Park was a testament to the deluge and from then on things improved: the rain finally stopped: the park was blissfully empty (bar a few hardy dog walkers); the lawns shockingly green and Molly loved running through all the puddles.
