Monday Mayhem.....

Bank Holiday Monday, Richmond is eerily quiet except for the restaurants and bars along the river front. Wholefoods was a subdued hum in comparison to the usual buzz seen in the rush hour but with the sunshine it was a reminder that we are on holiday.

Despite this there is always GOOD to be done and even though goodness doesn't always fall into place as planned if the intention is there and unified then it'll happen

This is what the team proved tonight and while it is hard to know where to begin with tonights escapades, as ever it was awesome to run with those that took part in Ricmond.

OK firstly some good news, we had three new runners tonight and on a bank holiday so a massive well done and welcome guys.

Mysteriously though our evening unfolded by losing three runners..... we found them again YAY!! (Anyone remember the story of hare and tortoise??) We also found a huge spider, was almost locked out for a second time at the same venue, had blisters from sweeping so hard and there was a lot of talk of food all the way round our route.

I managed to run further than I intended but for now that's all we shall say about that!

There are some dubious photos some with natural special effects thrown in from the dim lighting available as the nights draw in quicker already, but all in all a great run again for us in Richmond (secretly one of my most memorable to date and quite mysterious for all the mayhem)

This was our second visit to ETNA, a victorian house catering for several charitable organisations and all very much community focused. Last time we left some work unfinished due to timescales but tonight we left all in order and complete as can be. Both front and back gardens were cleared of dare I say it autumn leaves already and the front weeded and tidied as promised. The race to see which team could fill the rubbish bags with weeds first was fiercely competitive at first but team spirit and good will meant that we in Richmond worked as a unit.

A big thank you to all for making Mondays mean so much more and for all the madness we had tonight especially Sam for getting the back marking done and the team safely to the task.

Please note the Spider was not real.....Bring torches going forward guys it's hard to see in the dim light so this could save the shock.
