Making The Beds...............

Lovely weather and lovely company tonight as Goodgym Bexley headed on a short run to the "Old English Gardens" in Danson Park. On arrival we met up with Tom who gave us a brief History of the gardens and how pleased he was that we could come along and help maintain them. It wasn't long before we had tools in hand and we're pulling weeds and turning soil. We had 5 beds in total to sort out, and sort them out the Goodgym Bexley team did. After admiring our good work and receiving some welcome refreshment from Tom, it was time to head off. This we did, but via the outdoor gym. With 10 of us running this evening there was one piece of equipment per person so we went into a 'Tabata'' style workout. 30 seconds per each machine resting at switch over. Our fitness session was then finished off with the 'Cone Workout' team war, where unfortunately one team does lose, and does get the prize of the burpee punishment 👊🏻😁 With sweat on brow, it was now time to head back to base camp Crooklog. This is where we have a chat about our week and say good night to those running home, and for those not, a good stretch to finish off our evening. This Wednesday we have Susan and Sarah doing the 'Chase the Sun' 5K run and the QE Olympic stadium, so good luck ladies from you Bexley Goodgym team. Can't wait to here all about it at next weeks run.
