A trip to Ham Lands, to source new logs to replace those stolen from The Three Pigeons Insect Hotel.

Sharon, from The Friends of Ham Lands, helped me to identify a suitable pile of Hawthorn logs and once I had selected those of a suitable diameter, I manhandled them over to my car with a variety of techniques including caber tossing, hurling, javelin and relay.

Once they have been chain sawed into suitable lengths, they can be used to restore the fourth and sixth floors of the Insect Hotel.
