For today's out-and-back route I decided not to pick up any litter until I reached my turnaround point, preferring not to weigh myself down until I was on my return journey. I thought I had judged it about right, but when my bag was almost full I discovered a treasure trove of bottles and cans hidden in a hedgerow and I had to start a second one. Fortunately it wasn't too far to carry them both home from there!
