Magical Mystery Tour. Abandoned Police Stations. Mountains of Rubbish. Woodlice Galore. Mouldy Pizzas. Passers By Joining the Gang. Just your average night out with GG Brent!!!

On the first beautiful sunlit evening in September, GoodGym Brent gathered together for one of the most awesome session of the year!!

Rasi, Claire, Catherine and Hannah welcomed newbie Dan with smiles and good cheer, Ellie had stolen him from Westminster the week before HA HAAAAAA

After a brief housekeeping and catch up on upcoming events, Ellie revealed the mystery of the evening ahead. The fabulous Deborah from Willesden Town Team had been sending emails and texts since Friday revealing snippets of info for the task ahead..... There may be spades involved??............ There may be a pick up outside Costa??........ No more details than that apart from one more excited text before we left.......... "I'll be carrying the red bag outside Loyds bank.... be there or be square!!"

With the last clue in place, we headed down the quick route to Willesden High Street, weaving and bobbing through the crowds on the street on the hunt for Deborah and her red bag!!!

There she is!!!! Meeting Deborah with hugs and more cheer, we grabbed the bag and were sent on our way, off to the next meet point........ Costa coffee this time to meet the wonderful Abraham, the bin bag and gardening tools guy?!?!? AND THERE HE WAS!!!!

5 mins more down the road and we arrived at the destination for the night - The abandoned Police Station on the High Road, home for the time being to the largest community of Woodlice you've ever seen!!!!!!! & the most amount of rubbish anyone has ever seen piled up by the truckload in the front gardens of the station.

As quick as our arrival we got stuck in, picking up and clearing as best we could in our 45minute window. Our happy laughs and positivity spread like wildfire through the community with passers by stopping to join in the cause!!!

Never was there such laughter and fun being had from truck loads of litter pickers, it was an awesome night, with an awesome team to boot!

Finishing up we counted the bags ELEVEN !!!!!!!! And that was just the start. We're booked in for next week and this project will be a goer for some weeks to come.

One last challenge - A race to Gladstone Park, tempos and sprints and a hill run to close. This team are getting quick and i couldn't keep up....... Gonna have to start training to keep up with these guys now on the sly!!!!!

Amazing night and a task we shall see again!!!!!

DO GOOD. FEEL GOOD. INSPIRE
