A chilly night for a hardy 10 Goodgym Bath runners taking in FOUR PARKS AND A CEMETRY around the city picking up the litter that has been BLOWN OR THROWN with a total run of 5k. This was great for those who have not ventured far in our beautiful city with Steph showing us some great linked routes to some parks the group didn`t know existed.

A very warm welcome tonight to THREE new lovely ladies Suzy, Noemi and Anna. It was a pleasure to have them with us tonight.

An intro to everyone and all the Good that goes on within Goodgym , the group headed outside for a head count and warm up, boy was it needed tonight with the biting cold wind.

Our first stop tonight was Henrietta park ( one of Baths hidden gems) where the group split into three to tackle the litter that had blown from the streets around the edge of the park with Amys team finding what seemed like a hundred cigarette butts around one bench, we can only assume someone had a stressful day at work.

After some side lunges we headed to park number TWO Sydney gardens with a swift sweep around picking up the pace and the litter before heading back across town where we noticed the graveyard at st John`s church had rich pickings for us. Some great finds here Noemi finding a credit card, John bagged a light switch and numerous glass bottles that had been thrown over the wall.

Our next stop was park number THREE Hedge mead park and the many steps and litter that lead you to another of Baths hidden parks, we took advantage here to grab a group photo in the ornate bandstand situated at the top overlooking the city before heading out and across to park number FOUR Royal Victoria Park with our final scour for litter and some super tricep dips in the park shelter.

Time was up for our park tour so we headed back down into the city for some step ups and a re group with just enough time to put some sprints before posting the credit card through the banks post box.

We arrived back at the leisure centre with 5 minutes to spare and enjoy a good stretch out and a reminder of getting paired up with your very own running coach, keeping you motivated to run.

Thanks to Hermione for coming up with tonight's pun and everyone for showing your commitment and great work at Goodgym Bath.
