Mission

Lawn of the Wings

2 GoodGymers made their way to help an isolated older person in Sheffield.

Sunday, 10th of June 2018

Steve and Helen met Mrs W to help her and Mr W with their garden, with Steve flying (running) to the house in his new 100 shirt. We were greeted by a brand new fence that had recently been put in. Mrs W struggled with the bolt on the gate, and Steve's first good deed of the mission was to open it.

There were several tasks to get done and we got stuck in straight away. After clearing the lawn Steve mowed it, stating that his mowing skills were improving. Helen cleared the path and patio of dandelion leaves before cutting back some invasive hedge and stickyweed. It was hot work under the June sun!

We soon got the garden looking a lot clearer and neater, much to the appreciation of Mrs W. After clearing up we left the mission, Steve making sure to bolt the gate properly for Mrs W as we went.
