Rosa, Hilbob, Graham and Marta, were out saving lives on Saturday.... laterally... helping get people the vaccine in the afternoon.

The new feature this week was a lateral flow test for the volunteers. Which hilariously took almost an hour, but at least we know how to test ourselves now and know to arrive approximately an hour early if we want to feel like we've done a full shift (teehee).

Once the tests were done and we were all found covid free, Graham (aka me) went to be "pod picker" for the vaccinees (the pod picker holds up the vaccinees at the end of the queue until one of the vaccination rooms - each clustered into pods of 6 - becomes available), Rosa was on pod entrances for pods 1 and 2 (giving the pod picker the nod when a room becomes available)... as one vaccinee stoically pointed out "it seems incredibly inefficient"...but it works and they've got a lot of people and not a lot of technological solutions to throw around at the ExCel centre so we'll let them off.

Hilbob and Marta were marshalling the concourse and post a little break time after an hour and half Rosa and Graham went to join them out there... almost a goodgym take over of the concourse (but not quite). Lots of satisfied vaccinated customers were pointed the right way for the rest of the shift and they all lived happily ever after!

Well done all!
