Our weekly session with Achilles International was a bit different this time! Due to the tube strike, our usual plan for meeting at Maida Vale underground station was put on hold. However, VI runner Naqi and guide runner Hortense organised a tandem cycle to meet with Area Activator Simon at Primrose Hill for a special one-off hill session!

The workout was a classic Kenyan Hills loop, combining a significant slope up to the Primrose Hill beauty spot (with a false peak!), and a fun mini bump on the opposite side of the park.

8 minutes x 3 reps, with 3 minutes walking recoveries

Naqi completed 5 full loops during this workout, and did a smashing job at maintaining a consistent and manageable pace on the tough uphills, and not losing momentum on the downhills. Fantastic running on a lovely mild spring time evening!
