Pausing first for 11am 2 minute silence this was lockdown 2 first visit to take essential medicines and food supplies to my elderly parents including 2 jigsaw and some books. This time we’ve set up food delivery from a well known company who deliver home cooked food for your freezer you ring up and pay for what you need, and a newspaper delivery everyday. Since the first lockdown when Mr B had his fall he is not so nimble on his feet & a little walk around the garden once a day is all he can manage, but it takes a while, Restrictions on visitors definitely takes its toll on everyone but on those much older people it’s vital we try to help where we can. This pandemic is very frightening for them I’ve seen this first hand with my own parents who are lucky in the fact they do have each other, but they still feel isolated not having the freedom they once had. They do love the concept of GoodGym’s ethos of helping the Community as much as they can at this time especially, they’ve always liked hearing about my Monday night Group Runs, Community Missions etc over the years
