Lovely day for a walk through Claybury Woods up to my “coach”.

JJ’s Grandson was there to do the garden. He was so sweet with JJ it was a treat to see. Notes have been posted on back and front door reminding JJ not to attempt the gardening as it’s dangerous. I understand his concern as a couple of years ago JJ sustained a broken hip and rib in the garden. JJ confided in me that the warnings were not always heeded when no one was looking. It reminded me of when we caught my frail Mum shortly after a stroke trying to cut back hedges with a large electric hedge cutter, “it’s alright” she said, “ I won’t use it on branches above my head”…we had to confiscate the battery to stop her. On telling our Doctor about this escapade she said “I sometimes think it’s pure stubbornness that keeps some old dears going” the Doctor may have a point.
