Jurassic Park run

Ashley, Tracey and Rachel met at Markeaton Park to do an unofficial parkrun and managed to avoid the rain.

The group headed down to the official start of the parkrun route and ran two laps of the park following the same route that parkrunners take every Saturday. There was a fair on in the park which provided music that was much appreciated and some smells from burger and donut vans which just got everyone thinking of what to have for tea. The group had hoped to see the dinosaur experience but that had already taken place on another date and herds had moved on to new pastures.

At a comfortable pace for everyone the group managed 5km in just over 33 minutes.

Thanks to everyone for coming along and well done to Ashley who managed to actively travel to the session from work, so he'd already done a warm up before the group set off.
