It's play time!

This week saw 10 (speedy!) runners make our way to the White City Adventure Playground to relive our childhood play times on the playground......sorry, help Joel with some maintenance jobs. We found out that nettles DO sting through long leggings and gloves, we found out that Heidi is scared of enormous mouldy tomatoes(!) and that if you give George and Will 2 sledge hammers then they are possibly the happiest chaps around! Garden cleaned, nettles cleared, wood collected and broken up ready for the kids' bonfire, and we had raced through 2 weeks worth of tasks in 1 week....Joel will be getting his thinking cap back on for when we return next week to play on that giant slide and the zip line.....sorry, complete more maintenance jobs ;)

After some fartlek sprints on the run home and some sprints and burpees at the end (proving that yes, it is possible to jump up from lying flat on the floor!) we were shattered but happy with a great evening of training and helping out completed.
