Mission

It needs to look better than my neighbour's!

There's nothing like some neighbourly garden competition, all as a joke of course!

Monica and I bumped into each other en route to the mission, with both of us admitting that we'd had to stop running / cycling because the wind was so strong.

When we arrived we quickly got to work cutting down and shaping a lovely tree that our mission hosts had decided had gotten a little out of control.

Who needs cutting hedge technology when you've got a pair of shears, loopers and some arm power! After two hours we'd shaped and cut down one tree, and also the tree that was now in sight behind.

Our mission hosts were very thankful and we shared a short exchange where we learnt they had lived in the area for nearly 50 years and had done much for the community in their time. It was great to give something back to them.
